At the proposal of its president, Professor Philippe Palanque, the TC13 Human-Computer Interaction Technical Committee of the Federation for Information Processing appointed Julio Abascal Vice President for Development and Equality [https://ifip-tc13.org/membersofficers/]. Since 2003 Professor Abascal has been developing the tasks of coordinating the grants for students and young researchers from developing countries to access the INTERACT conferences organized by TC13.
